
Course: Regulation and Methodology for Calculating Climate Risks
UC3M and Alpha-Klima are organizing the course Regulation and Methodology for Climate Risks, a specialized training for ESG leaders and managers. Throughout the day, we will comprehensively address the challenges posed by climate change and the opportunities that arise for strategic decision-making.
Main topics will include:
- Regulatory context: Gain an accessible understanding of the EU’s regulatory framework on climate risk.
- Methodology: Detail the essential steps to build a robust physical climate risk assessment process, identifying and overcoming potential challenges.
- Case studies: Examine practical examples of physical climate risk assessments in sectors such as banking and corporate environments.
Additionally, there will be a round table open to the public with:
- David Llamas – Director of Sustainability and ESG at WSP Spain.
- Gabriela Eguidazu – Director of Innovation for Inclusive Growth at the BBVA Microfinance Foundation.
- Julio Bello – CRO at Aresbank.
- Marta Esquivias – ESG Manager at Valfondo.
- Mercedes Vázquez – Functional Head of Climate Change at Redeia.
- Daniel Maniega – Climate Change Manager in Telefonica
They will discuss current climate risk challenges and explore strategies to address them, placing the value of the knowledge gained in previous sessions into context. Coffee and refreshments will be provided between sessions.
