PHYSICAL RISK PLATFORM

…assessing and reporting climate risk has never been so easy

Alpha-Klima is a pioneering platform focused on the assessment of climate risk and its financial impact on various assets. The platform includes:

The latest climate data from GCM models and satellite observations (projected for RCP/SSP scenarios).

An inventory of asset-specific vulnerability models to measure the impact on physical assets.

Calculation of risk metrics such as VaR, Expected Shortfall…

Up to date toolset for regulatory disclosure (Pillar 3/CSRD).

The Role of OS-Climate and Apha-Klima’s Commitment

Central to our approach is the utilization of the OS-Climate open-source code, a testament to our belief in collaborative innovation to tackle climate risk challenges. As active members of the OS-Climate community, Apha-Klima is not just a user but a contributor to the collective knowledge base, ensuring that our solutions are both cutting-edge and grounded in a shared commitment to sustainability and resilience in financial practices.

On-Premises Platform

Our micro-service architecture makes our platform scalable and extensible, so we can leverage the best tools available for each task. We use flexible storage solutions (structured data with PostgreSQL, timeseries with Timescale and objects with MinIO), adaptable to a wide range of data sources and streaming servers (Apache Kafka). With tailored computing engines (Python, scikit-learn, PyTorch) and custom web applications (React) on top of different business intelligence options (Superset, Grafana).
