On Thursday, 12 March, OSCAR and the Resilient Cities Network will host a webinar exploring the Climate Impact Risk Assessment tool and its applications for cities, local governments, and resilience partners.
The session will look at how OSCAR’s prototype CIRA tool can support adaptation and resilience planning by helping users map projected climate hazards, assess potential losses and damages for real assets, and identify priorities for stronger and more financeable resilience strategies. As part of the session, Elena de Toledo Hernández and José Manuel Carmona Cejas from Alpha-Klima will contribute to the presentation of the tool and its analytical approach, helping illustrate how climate-risk data and modelling can be translated into practical use cases for public-sector resilience planning.
What the webinar will cover

- A walkthrough of the prototype Climate Impact Risk Assessment tool
- Examples of how the tool maps hazards such as flooding, extreme heat, wildfire, and water stress
